MILWAUKEE — Harley-Davidson thinks its riders are ready for a three-wheeled hog.

The iconic motorcycle maker said Friday it will begin making three-wheeled motorcycles, also called trikes, in partnership with Lehman Trikes U.S.A.



Spearfish, S.D.-based Lehman already converts motorcycles made by Harley and other manufacturers into trikes, but the new line will be branded as Harley-Davidson and sold by its dealers.

Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson Inc. did not release further details about the new bikes or when they would be released.

Harley is continually looking to develop new products and expand the appeal of its brand, said Harley-Davidson Vice President Ron Hutchinson.

"Trikes are another way we can inspire the dream of owning a Harley-Davidson," he said.

Lehman Trikes U.S.A. is a subsidiary of Lehman Trikes Inc. of Canada. The company has made trikes for more than 20 years.

Ja hoor! In your Dreams !!!. Ik zie die dingen nog lang niet bij de dealer staan. Het is tenslotte geen HD Servicar uit de jaren 50. Die behoren tot de geschiedenis van Harley Davidson maar dit is een hoop Lehman rotzooi met een Harley blok.

Nou, ze zijn dan goed bezig om hun merk op de markt te zetten. Eerst dat watergekoeld V-Rod gedrocht op de markt gooien en nu een invalidewagen. Nice way to go!

Maar kom je met dat ding op een Harley treffen, kom je mischien niet voorbij de poort. Het is al erg genoeg dat ze die gestuikte Buell brommertjes binnen laten  

Tja, en dan betaal je €25.000,- voor die driewieler en dan wordt je nog uitgelachen ook als je met zoiets komt aanzetten. :D
