An American Builder Builds a Racer and it's an amazing piece, the MotoCzysz C1! Michael Czysz has a running prototype that's getting coverage in the motorcycle press and it deserves a lot of attention. An inline 4, mounted longitudinally usually has a lot of torque transferred to the bike, so Czysz split the four into a pair of twins then reversed the front pair so it counter-rotates and offset them for a 15 degree V configuration. And that's just for starters, the single sided front fork, the gearbox under the engine, rear springs separate from the shock, it just goes on and on. His ambitious goal is to race MotoGP. Potential street versions down the road, too.

Als ik het goed begrijp tordeert die nu het frame? Lijkt me ook niet zo handig. Lijkt me beter om dat dynamisch gewicht naar beneden te laten 'wijzen' precies naar het zwaartepunt toe.

het is sowieso een moment wat zon blok uitoefent, dus hij zal altijd je hele fiets willen draaien, afhabkelijk van de plaatsing en draairicht wil hij hem op het achterwiel, voorwiel, linkerkant of rechterkant gooien. Bij een longitudinaal blok (beemer-boxer bijv.) zal hij hem op de linker of rechterkant willen gooien, vandaar de uitdrukking "gummi-kuh" schijnt zelfs dat als je aan het stoplicht in de vrij gasgeeft dat ie al tamelijk hard plat wil gaan liggen :shock:
hier hebben ze het opgelost door "then reversed the front pair so it counter-rotates" ze laten dus de ene helft de andere kant opdraaien dan de andere helft. waardoor er twee even grote tegengestelde momenten ontstaan, =0 in totaal. Op zich een goed idee... of het in praktijk zoveel nut heeft?

Ik vind het een supergaaf project!
Ik heb er een tijd geleden een uitgebreid artikel over gelezen in de Kicxstart.
Het is gewoon fantastisch om te zien dat iemand alle ganbare constructies overboord zet en met totaal andere oplosingen voor de dag komt!
Projecten als die van Elf en Czysz verdienen veel meer waardering!
Het is natuurlijk wel handig dat die Michael Czysz een aardig kapitaal geerfd heeft , en dat aan zo'n project verbrassen kan 8) 8)
